Cosmic Moose Art
Charles Kuizinas & Alison Joyce (NH)
Color. Talent. Heart. Awesomeness!
I think those words all came to mind the first time Charlie and Alison walked into Artisan's to share the art of Cosmic Moose with us at Artisan's.
Would we be interested in carrying Charlie's art, magnets, and more, they wondered?
Is THAT REALLY A QUESTION?
Cosmic Moose Art is everything we are. THIS is someone who sees the world in full color. In a vibrance that is artistic, filled with wonder and humor, and captures the spirit of New Hampshire. And, an imagination that is unique and positively fabulous!
This. Just... This...
I asked Charlie a question about times that can get challenging, and what he said really grabbed me. I am sharing, as his written response felt so authentic and meaningful... and really, it felt so... Charlie and Alison...
"There will be great wonders to behold as we continue this journey through time and space. Every day is a gift. We are a bunch of atoms that make up matter and form this vessel we call our bodies. So strange that its just energy holding it all up. So we best stay positive and dig deep and take another step FORWARD. Breathe. Notice the way the light comes through the trees and hits a small crystal clear mountain waterfall. A few little flying bugs catch
a ray of light too and look like floating magic. Yup. Theres some cool fog rolling up into the trees. See this magic and find LIGHT and HOPE EVERY SINGLE DAY. Sometimes too, stuff is just crappy. Its rainy. Its Cold. Maybe your
hungry and wet. Its ok to maybe have days where nothing happens. I bet you, though, that next time you DO have one of those days, you can actually get yourself to crack a smile at the silliest of things if you just let it. Laugh more. Lighten your mind. Be good neighbors. Be creative.
I guess thats where I'm headed with this....
Dont be mean. Be a good neighbor. Dont take shit but don't be disrespectful and mean.
We WILL get through this. Not one Soul has EVER not continued on.

What Living Person, Other Than a Family Member, Do You Most Admire?
There is an older man I admire more than he will ever know. I have NEVER met him. I drive past him year after year along the shores of the lake. He struggles to walk as it appears he has a degenerative disease. He walks with the assistance of hiking poles. If there were a poster for determination of the human spirit to keep on moving, despite the paralysis of a failing body and coordination, it is HIM. I almost tear up when I see his effort to stay alive. To keep moving. Through thick and thin. Move it or lose it. What an INSPIRATION to me. A true superhero. He will never know.
My favorite bands were...
Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Steely Dan, Roots Rock, and Reggae, CSN, Aerosmith, Steve Miller, Joe Cocker... Man oh man... I could go on for days!
The Person I Would Choose To Play My Part in a Movie About My Life Would Be...
Woody Harrelson. Or maybe Val Kilmer. LOL.
The Worst Thing I Did as a Kid...
I used to get into a lot of trouble because I would doodle a lot. I always had to be drawing when I was listening to the lessons the teacher had. They didn't understand that I NEEDED to doodle to COMPREHEND the lecture. It's something to do with my brain. The teacher would ask me what she had said, or ask me a question on the lesson... I would recite the correct answer with complete comprehension.
My Best Trait From My Mom...
Kindness and compassion.
